Sanjaya Malakar Original Caricature

Sanjaya Malakar Original Caricature

The caricature of Sanjaya Malakar is on a 9×11 inch piece of white drawing paper. It was hand sketched with such detail as Sanjaya’s amazing hair and his amazing smile. This is a great item for any Sanjaya fans or VFTW fans to own. You can place on your wall, but it will not sprout new hairstyles every day. Remember, this is the only copy of the caricature, so after this one is sold, there won’t be another opportunity to get it. It’s a great way to remember season 6 of American Idol and makes a great gift. It’s now on eBay. So far, caricature has the highest bid among the other IDOL caricatures. Its current bid is at US$ 330.00. (Wow Sanjaya does shave a lot of fans). To think, the paper where the caricature was drawn on is already wrinkled, still the bidders don’t care. Perhaps Sanjaya is the real American Idol this year.

Sanjaya Malakar at the top 5 of TIME 100

Sanjaya Malakar fever is very much still alive. Our very own golden boy has made it in the top 5 of The TIME 100 Most Influential People. In fact, he is at the top 3 spot with 182,371 votes. At the top 5 list, Sanjaya is together with Rain (Korean singer), Stephen Colbert (American comedian), Dane Cook (American comedian), Sidney Crosby (ice hockey player).

Sanjaya is NOT GAY

Barely 3 weeks after he got the boot from American Idol, Sanjaya Malakar continues to make noise in showbizlandia, thanks to the persistent paparazzis, television shows, and magazines that want a piece of him here and there.

Sanjaya Malakar

Now, the Sanjaya is featured in the latest issue of People Magazine, and they tackled the most intriguing topic that he can take early on in his career…his sexual preference. He denies rumors that he’s gay. He says, he just understands women because he was raised by women. Because of his parent’s divorce, he was closer to her mom and sister Shyamali.

Here’s an excerpt from People.com:

“I got teased in school because people figured I must be gay because I understand women,” the phenomenally popular American Idol castoff says. “I think that’s why guys didn’t like me – because I got along with girls so well. When I went up to girls they would give me a hug and a kiss on the cheek like I was their gay friend. But I was the straight guy that understood them.”

As for his dating past, Malakar, who is now 17, says: “I had a girlfriend but she became clingy, and I didn’t want to get into a really serious relationship because I was 16. Before his arrival on the hit FOX show, “I just wanted to date and have fun,” he says.

There you have it, people. Sanjaya is NOT GAY.

Sanjaya Malakar is INFLUENTIAL

It’s that time of the year once again, when TIME 100 magazine features “The Most Influential People of the Year” . Our very dear Sanjaya Malakar makes it to the list. He truly deserves a slot on the list. He took America by storm this year when he joined the most famous reality singing competition, American Idol.

Sanjaya Malakar

Believe it or not, Sanjy is virtually side by side the big names like J.K. Rowling (author of the Harry Potter series), Steve Jobs (CEO of Apple Computer and Pixar Animation Studios), and Bono (U2). He is currently swinging on the top 10 spot (already garnering over 35,000 votes). He even outnumbered the votes of Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, John Mayer, George Clooney, Nelson Mandela, Bill Gates, among others.

Here’s Sanjaya’s profile on Time.com:

AGE: 17
OCCUPATION: Former American Idol contestant
NUMBER OF TIME COVERS: 0
PREVIOUS APPEARANCES ON THE TIME 100: 0

PRO: Millions voted him into the top 7 finalists of American Idol. His clever performances, creative hair styles and happy-go-lucky attitude gave America ’something to talk about’ and generated mass appeal.

CON: Some argue that his advancement on Idol was fuelled by Howard Stern’s votefortheworst.com campaign. Widely considered to be a horrible singer.

Sanjaya Malakar… Out

Sad news for the Sanjayans. Good news for the anti’s. It was Sanajaya Malakar’s time to go, after horribly singing “Let’s Give ‘Em Something to Talk About” (other than hair). Yes, it was that bad peeps. and there was no better excuse to get him out of the show but last night’s singing.

Sanjaya Malakar

It’s okay, Sanjaya has had his fair share of attention. Come to think of it, he’s had MORE than his fair share. He’ s the talk of the nation, king of the blogs, already spoofed by many comedians at this early point of his career, made as topic in one too many late night shows, made as topic in many showbiz talk shows, has been made the money-making commodity of many websites…he’s basically everywhere. A radio station has reportedly offered a $10,000 fee just for one week’s work. He is even rumored to already have a $15 million dollar product endorsement, he just doesn’t know it yet. Let’s just see if he still becomes teary eyed (because of sadness) by the time he signs that juicy contract. He’ll never be a pauper again, and his sister doesn’t have to work for Hooters no more. Thanks to AMERICAN IDOL.

No matter what has been said…I’d like to say, WE WILL MISS YOU SANJAYA! American Idol season 6 won’t be the same without you. :-)

Starvation for Sanjaya

This is the blurb from Starvation fro Sanjaya Malakar, spearheaded by a girl named “J”. (Watch the video below and see for yourself…is she funny? seeking attention? or just plain stupid????)

=========================================

Hi, my name is J. I have always been a big fan of American Idol, so like many people I was excited for the 6th season to start this year.

Aside from the initial debacle with contestant Antonella Barba, season 6 was starting to look like it may be actually very good. The big voices of Melinda Doolittle and LaKisha Jones, the innovative styling’s of Blake Lewis, and the smooth R&B of Phil Stacey are just a few of the hopefuls with immense potential.

However, there is one hinge in this broad spectrum of talent this year … Sanjaya Malakar.

We have no problems with Sanjaya personally, he seems like a very personable and charming young man. However, he does NOT belong on American Idol. The judges faltered with their decision to place him in the 24, and American Idol voters have done even worse by keeping him on.

So until the day that Sanjya is no longer American Idol, I will be going on a hunger strike. This means I will refuse to eat anything until American Idol voters wise up, and stop voting Sanjya through each week.

Here is our YouTube video which further explains our position:

The Sanjaya Staying Power

Once again, THE MALAKAR was saved (for the nth time) by America’s invisible power. He wasn’t even on the bottom 3 this week. Simon was right when he said during the performance night that “You’re in your own universe…I don’t think there’s anything that the judges can say that will still matter”…or something like that.

Starvation for Sanjaya Gwenjaya
Surprisingly, The Malakar is very much the guy that brings in the buzz to the show each week. There are parties that want him gone right away, even going to the extent of going on HUNGER STRIKE.

On the other hand, there is a dedicated website whose sole advocacy is to keep Sanjaya ‘til the very end of this competition. What a balance of circumstances! But with the way things are going, I think it’s the Votefortheworst website that’s having its way. It even has the support of the famous radio personality Howard Stern. These guys definitely want this season to be a big joke by keeping the worst contestant as long as it takes. Besides, Simon Cowell has uttered that he’ll quit the show if Sanjaya wins. Man, it will truly be a laughable situation to see Simon Cowell bite his own teeth if Sanjaya actually wins American Idol Season 6!

VTFW Funny, or what?!?

I think the only ones greatly benefiting on the stay of Sanjaya is AI Producer Nigel Lythgoe (Apparently he loves all the buzz that’s happening all around. For him, it’s all about the show, talk about VANITY) and Sanjaya himself, of course.

(AI 6) Top 11 Performance Night

It was a British Invasion Night. Mentors were Lulu and Peter Noone, both major European hitmakers and the best people who can represent the British Invasion period in the 60’s. It was generally a good performance night, all of the finalists gave commendable performances.

First to perform was Haley Scarnato with the 1963 song “Tell Him” (the one featured at the “My Best Friend’s Wedding” soundtrack). It was a sexy Haley that performed, now at least she showed some fresh confidence and a little more skin.;-P True enough, Randy said that it was her best performance to date.

Haley Scarnato Haley ScarnatoCute, Haley!:-)

Chris Richardson did his performance of “Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Cryin’” with an acoustic vibe. It was a good version of the song, his voice so controlled, a departure from his usual “Justin Timberlake” bearing.

Stephanie Edwards sang a Dusty Springfield original, “You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me”. I thought she was in tune and okay, but Simon thinks that she’s losing her edge over her two best competitors (referring to Lakisha Jones and Melinda Doolittle). He also added that she sounded a little bit “night clubby”.

Blake Lewis was again my favorite performance of the night. He sang a The Zombies’ 1967 hit “Time of the Season”, whereby he also incorporated a little of his beatboxing and subtle break dancing. He’s on top of my list tonight! (Ryan Seacrest did some moves and beatboxing too after Blake, and it didn’t look good. It was hilarious!)

Lakisha Jones performed “Diamonds Are Forever” and said that she was actually wearing 1 million dollars worth of DIAMONDS. Lucky Girl!:-) Her singing was good, and it was at par with the greatness of the original Shirley Bassey rendition.

Phil Stacey performed “Tobacco Road”. While it was a good performance, I’m afraid his fans are really gonna work hard to make him stay on the Top 10. It’s just that, his overall appeal is on the decline. But minus all the distractions, without a doubt, he has a very good voice.

Jordin Sparks definitely looks better with straightened (ironed) hair. She sang “I Who Have Nothing”. Her vocals were good, but the song was boring. Nonetheless, this towering girl has one of the best voices among the bunch, I’m sure she’ll make it to the Top 10.

Sanjaya Malakar was such a big surprise tonight! He was all energetic and feisty when he vigorously sang “You Really Got Me Now”. Man! It was great to finally see him show some emotion and craziness. I’m sure none of us knew that Sanjaya can very well pull a rock song like that. Go Sanjayans! Vote your fingers off!

Sanajaya Malakar

Gina Glocksen sang “Paint It Black”. She’s got the look, but for me, her rendition lacked the “arrogant rocker attitude” (even if she worked at robotically tipping off the mic stand on purpose). The contenders at Rockstar: INXS were far better in pulling this rock song. The Rolling Stones won’t be happy with Gina’s performance. (But that’s just me talking).

Chris Sligh was such a sly. He sang “She’s Not There” and sang it well. He did make a shoutout to the notorious website that kept Sanjaya afloat, and may well earn a good number of votes just by uttering the words “Hi Dave!”. Nice move, Sligh!

Melinda Doolittle sang “As Long As He Needs Me”. While it wasn’t as tear-jerking as her performance last week, it was still top notch. I wasn’t that moved, probably because the song wasn’t too familiar. Still, her slot to top 10 is already one sure thing.

Sanjaya Power

Hahahahahhahahahah…. Did the notorious Sanjaya Malakar make it once again to the TOP 11? Yes he did. He’s on to next week’s episode(Probably with another hairstyle… who knows). What’s with this guy that he keeps beating the good ones?
Sanajaya Malakar Curly Sanjaya
Is it hair power that’s ruling this competition? (I’m sorry I went to that level). Okay seriously, probably it’s the merciless rants of Simon Cowell that’s giving this young lad the sympathy votes, millions of sympathy votes! Or maybe it’s the thought that Sanjaya was once a Hawaii resident (and his infamous Hula Dance) that gave him a lot of following from the serious voters of the beautiful islands (the same voting power that kept Jasmine Trias in top 3 in AI Season 3). Your guess is as good as mine.
