This is Elliot Yamin now, wonderfully singing his latest single “Wait For You” on the Top 3 results night…and sporting curly locks. Wow! What a year can do! Like coming in full circle. Amazing…

I may be a Blaker Girl now, but I am still a solid YAMINION. Okay let’s put it this way… I am 80% Blaker Girl this season. But I will forever be 200% YAMINION. Ya, I know it doesn’t make sense if you really think about it…But really, I will always be aboard the E-Train for my boy Elliot, the best Male American Idol contender, vocals-wise, in my opinion. (Mario Vasquez and Chris Daughtry just come next in line).

In Elliot’s profile page on the AI website, he was asked: “What are your personal goals in life?” And his answer was:

“To help educate young people about music and diabetes. I want to be an inspiration to others. I want to be a great Dad someday…I want to meet Magic Johnson and have a floor seat at a Lakers game.”

Like what they say all the time “It’s better late than Never”. Our dear Elliot Yamin signed on a record deal pretty much later than his batchmates in American Idol Season 5, but that wouldn’t be a hindrance to his success.

This moment is sweeter more than ever for our dear Elliot. Launching just 2 days ago, his eager fans have brought him to the top spot of Amazon.com’s top sellers. He’s consistently in the top 10 (reaching as far as top 5), along with big singers like Norah Jones, Joss Stone, Dixie Chicks, and DAUGTRY (his co-SEASON 5 alum) of course.

Elliot, Elliot! Oh, now Elliot Yamin is a household name, thanks to his American Idol stint which landed him on the 3rd place during the 5th season last 2006. He’s come a long way from his unidentified status in Virginia, USA. This level of attention is so inevitable for this 20-something lad. He’s got one of the most amazing voices that anyone could ever hear in this lifetime. In fact, he was the one I was rooting for to win in last year’s season. I am totally a YAMINION!

Last year, when he was still at the peak of the ‘Idol” tour, he was asked by Entertainment Weekly about the type of song’s that he envisioned himself doing. He said “It’s going to have a funky, R&B vibe to it, that’s for sure. Not too watered down, not too overproduced. Just good music.”.Good music it is! And now we no longer have to wait for ages. His debut album is finally coming out March 20! That’s right folks, he’s gonna “sing like YAMIN it” in our own CD players in no time.

Much anticipated is the song “Wait For You”, another beautiful R&B pop vibe that everyone will rave about. Elliot’s brilliant voice will once again take our heart to new levels. I can’t wait to buy this amazing debut CD. Go Go, YAMINIONS!
