I may be a Blaker Girl now, but I am still a solid YAMINION. Okay let’s put it this way… I am 80% Blaker Girl this season. But I will forever be 200% YAMINION. Ya, I know it doesn’t make sense if you really think about it…But really, I will always be aboard the E-Train for my boy Elliot, the best Male American Idol contender, vocals-wise, in my opinion. (Mario Vasquez and Chris Daughtry just come next in line).

Bucky Covington’s self-titled debut CD opens at #1 on Nielsen Soundscan’s Country Top 75 chart with 61,000 units sold.

With 61,000 units sold in the first week, this gives Bucky the distinction of having not only 2007’s biggest unit debut from a new country artist, but also the best first week sales and highest Top 200 debut for any new male country artist since Billy Ray Cyrus in 1992.

Paris Bennett of American Idol season 5 is also making a name for herself after her Idol days. She has released her first single titled “Ordinary Love” and is currently enjoying the airwaves and YOUTUBE of course. I think the track is extraordinarily catching enough to make you groove to the beat (thanks to the work of Grammy Award-winning DJ Producer Jon-Jon Traxx).

Paris is releasing her debut album called “Princess P” (which happens to be her nickname since she was a kid) on May 8, 2007.

American Idol Season 5 alum , Bucky Covington, will release his self-titled debut CD on April 17th, featuring the hit single “A Different World” currently climbing the Billboard Country charts.

One year ago, on April 16th, 2006, Highrollers from all over the world – and all over the Internet - decided to give Ace a gift they hoped would be meaningful and lasting – a donation in his name to The Children’s Hospital, Denver. A goal was set of raising $1000.00 in 2 weeks. Highrollers were so incredibly generous – the $1000 goal was passed in 24 hours! In 2 weeks, Ace’s Highrollers donated over $7,000.00 to this great cause, and Ace and the Young family decided that monies raised in Ace’s name would go towards the building of the new Family Amenities Area

Daughtry (better known as Chris Daughtry of American Idol season 5) has hit the Number 1 spot on Billboard this week!

Ever since Chris was ousted in Season 5, he has been continuing to receive blessings that no “Idol” contestant has achieved at such an early point. He was one of the first ones to sign a record deal (even ahead of the top placers of season 5).

Chris formed the “Daughtry” band. Yes, I think it was a good decision of him to drop the “Chris” as there are already a plethora of “Chris(es)” in the industry. “Daughtry” creates much impact, and so the album was named the same.

Aside from his album being a super achiever (surpassing album sales of Taylor Hicks, Kathatrine McPhee, including Dreamgirls OST , and a lot more), he’s on a very active US tour, averaging 6 cities a week (that’s like 1 city per day!). Way to go, Daughtry!

*The first single, “It’s Not Over,” has been downloaded (digitally bought) 800,000 times.
*Daughtry has had a U.S. Album sales of 1,801,810 copies (and counting) and has been certified by RIAA 2x Platinum
